Responsibilities:
Applying a demonstrated proficiency in using Abinitio, COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and TERADATA to plan, develop, test and document computer software applications including evaluating user requests for new or modified computer programs, determining feasibility and compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities, consulting with end users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives, formulating plans outlining steps required to develop program, using structured analysis and design, preparing flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps program must follow and to describe logical operations involved, designing computer terminal screen displays to accomplish goals of user request, converting project specifications, using flowcharts and diagrams, into sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding, replacing, deleting, or modifying codes to correct errors, analyzing and modifying computer programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements, writing documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections, and providing technical assistance to program users.
